Amanda and Roberts Wedding at Dornoch Castle Hotel and the Beach
Amanda and Roberts wedding have been the windiest wedding of my year but it was mild and so they and their two children Isla and Harry headed for the beach for some pre-wedding photographs. A very wind swept beach it was too but the light was lovely and we certainly got the cobwebs blown out of us. We headed back to the Dornoch Castle Hotel for some photographs inside away from the wind – we made the most of the beautiful bedroom with the 4 poster bed that was plenty big enough for the whole family. The wedding party then walked over to the library for the ceremony and then walked back in the twilight for a glass of champagne….Here are some of the wedding photography highlights – there are quite a lot of the beach but I couldn’t decide which to leave out!
Lyndsey and Jamie’s Wedding at the New Drumossie Hotel Inverness
I have had such a busy October and have neglected my blog a little but am happy to finally get on some of the photographs from Lyndsey and Jamie’s Wedding especially as they were so pleased with the photographs and I am already starting to design their wedding book. It was a fantastic day which no one let the weather spoil….everyone even braved the rain for a large group photograph outside……Lyndsey and Jamie really wanted to make use of the lovely garden at the New Drumossie Hotel but the rain was against them we did get some sneaky ones under the trees and I don’t think you can see the rain…..here are some of my favourites……
Jamie and Martyn’s Wedding at Carrbridge
Just catching up with my blog now after a very busy summer that is turning into quite a busy Autumn! Here some of the wedding photographs from Jamie and Martyn’s wedding at Carrbridge. They both worked really hard to plan organise every detail of the wedding themselves. Martyn who is head chef at the Cairn Hotel in Carrbridge even made all the food himself , colleagues at the hotel served it up to the wedding guests at Carrbridge village Hall. The Hall itself was wonderfully decorated by the couple and their friends. The weather was not that kind to the couple on the day – the rain started just as the Jamie was about to arrive but the guests showed great spirit by leaving the warmth of the fire at the Cairn Hotel and walking down to the bridge for the group photograph in front of the famous Carrbridge Bridge , luckily the rain eased a bit and nobody got too wet!…here are some of the highlights please feel free to leave your comments for the happy couple who by now should be back from their honeymoon…………….
I was back in North Yorkshire again recently this time in Helmsley at the Black Swan Hotel for the wedding of Claire and Chris. It was a small intimate affair shared with their son, close family and friends. After a very wet week they had a lovely sunny day and were able to make the most of the lovely garden. Here are some of the photography highlights of the day…please feel free to leave you comments for the happy couple…..
Christol and Paul’s Wedding at Ingleton Methodist Church
I was back down in Cumbria this week – well just over the border in North Yorkshire actually for the wedding of Christol and Paul. As you can see by the umbrellas the day started of wet but just as Christol arrived the church the rain stopped……..after the ceremony at Ingleton Methodist Church everyone headed to the Castle Green Hotel in Kendal for a meal and evening do….a great day was had by all..During the speeches Christol was surprised by the groom who had secretly arranged for a honeymoon in New York ..guess which photograph was taken as she heard the news….Here are some of the highlights of the wedding photographs…please feel free to leave a comment for the happy couple…..
Katherine and Peter’s Wedding at Ardross Community Hall
Katherine and Peter chose to have a humanist ceremony for their wedding last Saturday and it was absolutely lovely….they had worked very hard to make the day special – the hall looked wonderful, all the flowers were native varieties and they looked so pretty. Here are some of the highlights of the wedding photographs taken on the day…………![]()
