I believe that it is always a privilege to be the photographer at a wedding and Andrea and Gordon’s wedding was no exception, from the excited buzz of the preparations to the laughter of the best man’s speech it was a lovely day……Bona Church at Lochend commands a spectacular view up Loch Ness although it was a bit windy and we were glad to arrive a the more sheltered Kingsmills Hotel with it’s large gardens …a great place for photographs and children to run about …….here are some of the highlights…please feel free to leave your comments at the bottom of the page for the happy couple
Month: August 2010
I had such fun taking photographs with Joy and her sister’s and, Graeme and his brother at the Ness Islands Inverness after their wedding ceremony at the Archive Centre in Inverness last week. Following the ceremony we walked over the bridges and through the trees, taking photographs as we went…I think that great fun was had by all of us. Joy looked absolutely stunning …so did they all. Here are some of the highlights…….the Islands first and then some from the ceremony.

I met Laura at her Mum and Dad’s house before the ceremony to take some family pictures before they walked down to the church. Laura looked lovely and was so calm. The five Bridesmaids and three flower girls also looked lovely in their dark blue dresses. After the ceremony everyone went up to the gateway building at St. Martins college for the reception…what a wonderful view of the whole of the Bay – worth a visit just for the view. Last Sunday I was lucky enough to be able to photograph the wedding of Hannah and Robert at the Newton Hotel in Nairn. It was a lovely humanist ceremony as part of which the fathers of the couple poured whiskey into glasses that Hannah and Robert then poured into a Quaich. The mixed whiskey symbolising the joining of the two families was then drank by the couple and their fathers. The bride looked lovely, the groom hansom and their children wre wonderful as flower girl and page boy. Here are some of the highlights….please feel free to leave your comments for the happy couple
I feel as if I am always going on about the weather but it makes such a difference! And we were so lucky last Monday as we had a lovely warm and sunny afternoon to walk, run, paddle, and take photographs on Loch Eilein, near Aviemore. Anne-Marie and her family were a joy to be with and I think we got some lovely photographs of them all. Please feel free to add your comments……
Last Saturday I made the journey to West Cumbria to Muncaster Castle to photography the wedding reception of Felicity and Matthew, others had travelled a lot further than me. Felicity’s family had all come from Australia and together had clocked up 60,000 miles to get there. But I certainly think it was worth it for the castle was a truly amazing location and Felicity and Matthew made a very handsome couple. Please feel free to leave your comments for the happy couple.
